Legal assistant Thai Medellin was drawn to the practice of family law through her love of learning from the attorneys and her co-workers at the firm. Their passion to help clients and the children involved inspired her to help people who are dealing with sensitive or emotional issues relating to divorce or custody. She approaches any case with the understanding that our clients are going through a very difficult time. Thai takes the time to listen to their needs and concerns and make sure every client knows that we will help them through this process. She has found that working as legal assistant has put her in a role where empathy and compassion are key to helping calm stressful situations.
Thai started in family law in 2002, working with Nachlis & Fink Family Law. She has been working with Lorie Nachlis ever since and has 20 years of experience. After witnessing friends go through messy breakups involving children and seeing the effects it had on everyone involved, she made a commitment that she wanted to help families going through this process as quickly and with as little hassle as possible, making sure they know that they are not alone throughout their legal matter.
Thai was born in Surin, Thailand. She came to America when she was just two years old and grew up in Oakland, CA where she attended Oakland High School - Go Wildcats! She lives in the East Bay with her husband, and has three children (TyAvery, Maximus, and Ava) and two dogs (Luna Mars and Bailey McLovin). Thai enjoys spending time with family, taking long drives with her husband, going to her daughter’s softball games, and watching NBA basketball and MLB baseball games. She is a huge Golden State Warriors and Oakland A’s fan and loves attending home games when she can.
